Dinesh Oraon expresses anguish over non presence of leaders in all party meeting

Ranchi: Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Dinesh Oraon expressed his anguish over the lack of interest among the leaders who are responsible for running the parliamentary system.

In his address to the house in the inaugural day of the Monsoon Session, he said that it has been a custom in the Parliament and also in the Assembly that prior to the start of any session an all-party meeting is called up.

“ I am sad by the fact that in these meetings the presence of the leaders is on a continuous decline,” he said. He said that presence of just three leaders in the meeting which was called before the start of the monsoon session is a serious issue and called on the leaders to reflect on the fact as such type of attitude towards the Assembly will give what kind of direction to the democracy.

Adding further he said that this monsoon session might be the last official session in the tenure of the present assembly and pointed that the new building of the Vidhan Sabha is almost ready and exuded hope that the next session would be conducted in the new premises and first the legislators to make maximum use of this session.
