Ranchi, Jun 3: After leading the Chennai Superkings to their third IPL trophy former team India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni offered prayers at Deori Temple located in Tamar block of this district.
A large crowd of people had gathered to catch a glimpse of their favourite cricketer. Dhoni after offering his obeisance also posed for selfies with some of the fans while for some others he signed the autographs before leaving the place. In wake of the visit elaborate security arrangements had been made at the temple premises.
Locals priests at the temple said that Dhoni great belief in the temple and when ever he is in Ranchi he make a point coming to the place and offer his prayers and also does the same when he ever he is bound to leave for international duty.
In January also Dhoni had visited the temple alongwith his friend Simat Lohani and offered his prayers. Dhoni is currently in his home town but would soon leaving for tour of Ireland and England where he is part of the sqaud which will play in the T-20s in Ireland followed by T-20s and One Day International in England.
