Ranchi: Jharkhand Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited till now used to purchase and supply electricity from DVC in Dhanbad, Bokaro, Giridih, Hazaribagh, Ramgarh, Koderma and Chatra districts of Jharkhand. But this will not happen now. In this list of districts, three districts have been out of DVC command area. The districts falling outside the command area are Dhanbad, Ramgarh and Bokaro.
Now Jharkhand Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JBVNL) will supply electricity in these districts. Due to the lack of transmission lines in seven districts in the state, electricity supply in seven districts was done through DVC. Due to this, while the additional financial burden on the state government increased, the consumers had to pay more money. This problem was especially in the Dhanbad, Bokaro, Giridih, Hazaribagh, Ramgarh, Koderma and Chatra districts.
Now with the completion of the Chandankiyari-Govindpur transmission line, electric flow has started in it. It took six years to build. This transmission line has been connected to the Govindpur grid. The completion and commencement of the Chandankiyari-Govindpur transmission line is good news for the consumers of Dhanbad, Ramgarh and Bokaro.
Now consumers of these districts will get electricity from JBVNL at the rate of around Rs 3.25 per unit. As long as these districts were in the DVC command area, consumers used to get electricity at the rate of about Rs 6 per unit.
According to KK Verma, MD of Jharkhand Energy Transmission Corporation, this transmission line is completely safe. The corporation has completed and charged 132 KV Chandankiyari-Govindpur transmission in two years.
The total length of the Chandankiyari-Govindpur transmission line is 67.3 kilometers. In which a total of 275 towers have been built. The 5.5 km line and 24 towers are in Purulia, West Bengal.
The route of the Chandankiyari-Govindpur transmission line, it includes the Dubekata turn of Bokaro in Jharkhand, Barmasia, Modidih, Muktapur, Chandipur, Kusumkiyari, Palkiri and Premsinghdih, Ichar of Purulia district of West Bengal and Sindri, Chhatatand, Gendra of Dhanbad in Jharkhand. , passes near Jialgora, Tituliatand, Sahajodi villages.
According to officials, JBVNL is engaged in completely eliminating Jharkhand’s dependence on DVC. Along with this line, three more grid substations will soon be built in the DVC command area. After this, Jharkhand’s dependence on DVC will completely end.
On the other hand, electricity can be transmitted from the supercritical thermal power plant with a production capacity of 4000 MW to the consumers’ homes.
