Dhanbad — In a deeply distressing incident in Dhanbad, a five-year-old boy was fatally attacked by a pack of stray dogs in the Gonudih OP area.
The victim, identified as Ankit Yadav, son of Kundan Yadav, was reportedly playing near a Hanuman temple close to his home in Bholanath Baseria, No. 4 Yadav Basti, when the dogs suddenly surrounded and attacked him.
The child sustained multiple severe injuries during the attack. Local residents, alerted by the noise, rushed to the spot and found him in a critical condition. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead.
The tragic incident has left the family devastated and triggered panic among residents in the locality. Locals have called for urgent intervention by authorities to tackle the rising threat of stray dogs and ensure public safety.
