DGP spends night at Dagra picket in Palamu district holds interaction with villagers and jawans

Daltonganj, Dev 5: Jharkhand DGP D K Pandey and ADG Anurag Gupta spent
night at the Dagra picket of the Palamu district during which they
interacted with the villagers and also spoke with the jawans.

In the dialogue with the jawans he asked them to serve like the army
men do and asked them to prepare an atmosphere for development in the
bordering areas of Bihar and Jharkhand. He also apprised the jawans
about the finer details of anti Maoists campaigns and also gave them
an incentive of Rs 1 lakh so that they can help cultivate the
atmosphere of community policing.

The DGP also ate dinner with teh jawans. He directed Palamu SP who was
also present on the occasion to develop Dagra picket as an assistant
police station and said that a proposal be sent to the state
headquarters. On Tuesday morning the DGP interacted with the villagers
and panchayat represntataives and assured them than all the problems
would be solved. The villagers raised the issue of problems related to
roads and bridges and culverts and irrigation apart from other welfare
schemes. The DGP also distributed chocolates, copy and pens among the
children.
