Ranchi, May 3: Director General of Police D K Pandey chaired a high
level meeting here with senior police officials of the state during
which he assessed the progress being made in fight against Maoists in
the state along with law and order situation.
In the meeting which was organized at the police headquarters here
ADG, IG, DIG and other senior police officials participated. During
the meet the police officials discussed upon fight against the
Maoists, collecting intelligence input and social welfare work being
done in the LWE areas. The DGP asked the officials to take strict
action against the criminals.
DGP Pandey said that police was getting considerable success
in its fight against the Maoists and by the end of this year Jharkhand
would be made a Maoist free state. He said that in the days to come
anti-insurgency operations would be intensified. He said that the
Maoists should either surrender or get ready to face the bullets.
ADG Ajay Bhatnagar, R K Mallik, Prashant Singh, Anurga Gupta, Anil
Palta and other senior officials were present in the meeting.
