Development in education important to remove poverty from the state: Das

Gumla, Jun 15: Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that for eradicating
poverty from the state development in the education sector was a must
and every citizen of the state must be educated.
Addressing the people after laying foundation stones and inaugurating
24 schemes of REO in the Kissan Mela held at Phori Panchayat of Sadar
Block of this district he lauded the desire of the girls of the
district who want to study further and said that the state government
was ready to extend full cooperation in this regard.
Inaugurating the statue of Kartik Oraon at the school premises he said
that there was a need to spread his ideas. He said that the main
purpouse behind inauguration of the state was that the next generation
should be encouraged as to how he overcome the odds and studied. He
also called to strengthen the Central Sarna Committee as they have
taken a pledge to fulfil the dreams of Karthik Oraon.
Mr Das said that in future quality education would be provided to the
students. He said that the desk benches would be filled in the schools
as no students should sit on the floor and study. He said that to
ensure that studies are not impacted the state government ahs set a
target to electrify the entire state by 2018.
He said that to improve the education system in the district the
government has decided to upgrade 95 schools into plus 2. He said that
since the youth off the area are very active in sports therefore in
another three months work for building a stadium would commence. He
urged the people not to allow their children to migrate as government
was making arrangements to provide them with jobs in the state. He
also assured that all needy widows would also get home apart from
pensions.
