Dependents of people killed in Naxalite violence to get compensation of Rs 1 lakh

Ranchi:  The dependents of those killed in Naxalite violence in Ranchi, Chaibasa, Garhwa and Latehar districts will get compensation. Jharkhand Home Department has issued an order regarding this.

The dependents of the four people who died in these four districts will be given a compensation of Rs 1 lakh each in the form of grant money. 

Compensation will be given to following –

  • Rajesh Lugun, son of Ramrai Lugun, who was killed in Naxalite violence on 16 April 2021 in Saraikela police station area of Chaibasa district, will get compensation.
  • Dayawanti Devi, mother of Mukesh Pradhan, who was killed in Naxalite violence on 4 September 2016 in Lapung police station area of Ranchi district.
  • Praveen Kumar, brother of Naveen Kumar, who was killed in Naxalite violence on November 17, 2020 in Ramkanda police station area of Garhwa district, will get compensation.
  • Rita Devi, who was killed in Naxalite violence on August 4, 2017 in Balumath police station area of Latehar district. Compensation will be given to her husband Abhimanyu Singh.
