Deoghar: Ahead of the National Lok Adalat scheduled for May 9, 2026, a high-level preparatory meeting was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Principal District and Sessions Judge, Kaushal Kishore Jha. The meeting took place in the court auditorium and was attended by judicial officers, bank representatives, and officials from various departments.
The discussions focused on ensuring the maximum disposal of pending cases while also spreading awareness among the public—particularly bank customers—about the advantages of settling disputes through Lok Adalat.
Officials highlighted that bank-related disputes can be resolved quickly and amicably through mutual agreement, making the process simple and accessible for all. They also pointed out that during Lok Adalat sessions, banks often provide relief in the form of waivers on interest, penalties, and other charges, offering significant financial benefits to borrowers.
Another key advantage discussed was the cost-effectiveness of the system. No court fees are charged, and cases are settled much faster than in regular courts, helping people avoid lengthy legal battles.
It was further emphasized that the decisions passed in Lok Adalat are legally binding on all parties, with no provision for appeal in regular courts, ensuring finality in dispute resolution.
During the meeting, officials urged the public to come forward with their pending cases and make full use of this platform for quick and hassle-free justice.
