Demise of Sajal Chakraborty is big administrative and human loss: Chief Minister

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday described the demise of former Chief Secretary Sajal Chakraborty as a big administrative, social and human loss for the state.

    The Chief Minister earlier reached the Birsa Munda Airport and paid his tributes to the late former chief secretary whose body reached from Bengaluru to Ranchi on Friday evening.

   Sajal Chakraborty had passed away on Thursday morning in Bengaluru after a cardiac arrest where he was undergoing treatment.

     A function was also organised at the Auditorium of the project building to pay tributes to late Sajal Chakraborty where apart from the Chief Minister, senior officials of state administration were present. The gathering observed a two minutes silence as mark of respect towards the departed soul.

    The Chief Minister said that Sajal Chakraborty needed no introduction and he was easily accessible to all. He performed all the responsibilities with honesty. He said that many officers present at this moment had an opportunity to work with Sajal Chakraborty and he too had worked with him during which he had found him to be serious and responsible towards the administrative works.

   The Chief Minister said that till a long period he was battling many ailments but he did not allow those to come in his way of functioning. He said that despite Sajal Chakraborty not being physically present his works would always remain in the hearts of the people.

  The Chief Minister also recalled his fondness for animals and said that at present time hardly one find such a person having a caring nature towards the animals.

  Those present also included Chief Secretary Sukhdeo Singh, Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of various other departments.
