Ranchi: As the mercury has crossed 40-degree celsius and touched 45 degrees in some parts of the state, the demand for earthen pots and bottles have gone up many folds.
Puran Kumar Prajapati, “A potter based at Ormanjhi area discovered eco-friendly earthen water bottles and pots to remove plastic pollution and throat infection.” “Earthen water pots and bottles are useful during Summer Days. They work as refrigerators during hot summer days,” said Prajapati Potter.
Plastic Bottles create harmful diseases in human bodies and have side effects. “To promote sustainable development earthen water bottles and pots are necessary,” potter Prajapati added. Earthen Water pots are available at the market at 250 to 350 rupees per pot.
Whereas Earthen Water Bottle ranges between 150 to 250 rupees. Earthen Bottles and Pots are colorfully designed and it attracts customers. “Last year we sold nearly 500 Earthen Water Pots and this year we are expecting it will cross the number of 800,” Said a potter. “This year we discovered earthen water bottles which will be useful for office going persons and school children,” a potter added.
