DC holds meeting, directs to give importance to contract tracing

Ranchi: DC Chhavi Ranjan on Sunday chaired another long meeting in wake of rising cases of Coronavirus in the district during which laid stress on contract tracing.

He asked the incident commanders to remain alert 24 hours in their areas and collect complete information regarding the patients found in their areas. The DC asked the officials to make sure that there is no misinformation regarding the patients and asked them to share entire information related to the person who has been detected positive for Coronavirus.

In his message to the officials he asked them to also keep a record of the police station area from which the patient hails. He said that amid the Coronavirus crisis there was a need to work with the time therefore the work should be completed within time itself.

The DC said that the incident commanders will also have to inspect the hospitals where the people are undergoing treatment for Covid-19. He said that incase there is a problem of law and order in the area concerned than coordination should be established with the officials concerned to sort out the issue and they should also look into the availability of the health care personnel and other facilities in the hospital.

The DC also instructed the incident commanders to establish coordination with the labs in their area where tests for Coronavirus is being conducted so that necessary information related to the patient can be collected.
