Daily 8-9 thousand tests for Covid-19 being held in state says CM

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that since the state government has increased the testing process, therefore, more number of Coronavirus patients have been found in the state.

He said that at the present on a daily basis 8000-9000 tests are being done in the state and as the tests would go on increasing the number of patients would also go on increasing. He said that there would be no lack of beds in the hospitals as the government was keeping a sharp eye over the entire health care arrangements in the state.

Talking to the press after going through the arrangements being made to set up Covid wards in the displaced colony in Kutte and in Birsa Munda Football Stadium in Khelgaon that it was the responsibility of the state government to make arrangements for the treatment of Coronavirus patients in the state. He said that the state government was working with dedication to provide quality healthcare to the people. Hemant said that the government was seriously working to increase the number of beds and was also identifying locations for them.

The Chief Minister said that immediately 3,000 to 4,000 beds are being increased. He said that isolation centres have been built at Kutte and at Khelgaon and in the entire state work was on to increase the number of beds. He has urged the people not to be apprehensive over lack of beds or medical facilities in the state as the government will take all necessary steps needed for the treatment of Coronavirus patients.

He directed the officials to make sure that as per the guidelines laid for treatment of Coronavirus patients treatment facilities should be provided to them. Apart from giving other important instructions he also collected information regarding ICU, Isolation ward and Quarantine ward.

Those present on the occasion included Chief Secretary Sukhdeo Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rajeev Arun Ekka, Principal Secretary Health Nitin Madan Kulkarni and others.
