Ranchi: Under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Chhavi Ranjan, a review meeting of Swachh Bharat Mission Abhiyan and Jal Jeevan Mission was organized on Thursday in which other senior officials of the district administration were present.
In the meeting, the DPR prepared by Deputy Commissioner Chhavi Ranjan under Jal Jeevan Mission, district-wise / state-wise status related to Swachh Bharat and the utilization certificate of the amount received were reviewed. Necessary and appropriate directions were also given by the Deputy Commissioner regarding the works being done under the district under the Swachh Bharat Mission and the supply and updating status of water from taps in every household of the district.
He said that by working in a better action plan and mission mode, fulfill the set target. While reviewing the work being done under the Jal Jeevan Mission program in the district by Deputy Commissioner information was taken about the various schemes running in the Eastern and Western divisions of Ranchi. Taking information about the work progress of functional household tap connection, MVS etc scheme in both the divisions, the Deputy Commissioner directed the engineers to complete the works being done under the scheme in time. He took detailed information from the engineers of both the divisions related to the ongoing schemes and the period for their completion and the schemes that have been completed etc.
Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, the action plan in the district, the schemes taken from the department and district level were also reviewed by the Deputy Commissioner. The DC gook information from the engineers of both the divisions whether there was any land related issue in the scheme taken. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, by the year 2024, all the households need and quality potable water through running taps. Under this mission, along with providing water to every household, work is also being done on water conservation and harvesting.
