CS directs to provide employment to 100 people under Mnrega in every Panchayat

Ranchi, Apr 20: Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma has directed to provide
employment to 100 people under Mnrega in every panchayat of the state
and also asked to mobilise active workers and create maximum number of
working days.
Chairing a review of Mnrega and Pradhanmantri Aawas Yojana here she
directed the DDCs to undertake profiling of the Rojgar Sevaks and
achieve the target set under job creation days where the targets was
lagging behind. It was directed that a panchayat wise and block wise
profiling of the Rojgar Sevaks be done. She said that the panchayat
sevaks be informed about construction works so that the beneficiary on
time can commence the construction of the houses.
The Chief Secretary said that such BDOs who are not able to create 100
employment days under Mnrega against them strict action would be
taken. She asked to indetify five panchayts in every block where
Mnrega performance was very poor and instructed to initiate action
against Rojgar Sevaks similarly the districts should identify the
blocks which are not performing nicely.
Ms Verma said that so far 71 per cent DBT has been achieved and there
was aneed to further accelerate the task of DBT and ensure that
payment is made through DBT only. The officials of the department
informed that there are a total 27 lakh active labourers in the state
out of which the task of Aadhar seeding has been completed of 21
labourers. She asked the officials to prepare bank wise profiling and
send a report to the department about the bank which was adopting
lackadaisical approach in this work.
