Deoghar: On the first day of the beginning of the year, more than one lakh devotees take part in darshan and worship at Baba Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar. On the first day of the year and the coincidence of the first Monday of the year in Baba Temple, the crowd of devotees has increased in Baba Temple.
There was a long queue in Baba Baidyanath temple since morning. People have arrived from Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal as well as many states across the country. Deoghar DC Vishal Sagar is constantly taking stock of the situation. For the convenience of the devotees, arrangements for early darshan coupons have been made in the temple. An attempt has been made to reduce crowding through this facility.
In view of the crowd, magistrates and policemen have been deployed at various places. Baba Mandir has been decorated with flowers for the New Year and all the arrangements have been made to ensure that the devotees do not face any kind of problem.
Vishal Sagar Deoghar DC said that every year there is a crowd of devotees on the first day of the year. This crowd is there for Baba’s blessings. Our effort is to maintain the entire system in a queue manner. We have deployed a police force and magistrate.
We are letting people go in groups so that there is no crowd gathering inside the temple together. Full care is being taken to maintain order on such a special day. Looking at the crowd, it can be estimated that around one lakh people will visit Baba Dham. Temple priest Jhalak Baba wished all the devotees a happy English New Year.
He blessed all the devotees and said that all the Shiva devotees are well. In Sanatan Dharma that at the beginning of any new work one should worship God.
