CPI (Maoist) regional commander Indal Ganjhu Surrendered before Police

Ranchi: Banned Communist Party of India (Maoist) Regional Commander Indal Ganjhu alias Uma alias Badan who is from Gaya, Bihar, and was active in Chatra District of Jharkhand surrendered before Senior Police Officials and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel in Ranchi on Thursday.

According to the Police, Maoist regional commander Indal Ganjhu was active in the Chatra, Hazaribagh, and Palamu districts of Jharkhand and Aurangabad in Bihar.

Last year in 2022 Maoist Commander Ganjhu continuously faced gun battles with Security Forces which is why is surrendered police said.

His aides Rajesh Baiga alias Rajesh Pahariya, Goutam Paswan, Ajit Oraon alias Charles, Amar Ganjhu, Ajay Yadav, and Sujit Bhuyian were killed in an encounter with security forces in January this year, Police added.

According to Jharkhand Police, CRPF, Jharkhand Jaguar and Paramilitary forces conducted a massive operation to flush out Maoist rebels.

‘Operation Nayi Disha Ek Nayi Pahal’ is part of Maoist Surrender, Police Said.
