Ranchi: The court has taken cognizance of the ED’s Prosecution Complaint (PC) filed against former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and others. Ranchi PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act) special court has issued summons against architects Vinod Singh, Rajkumar Pahan and Hilarious Kachhap. After this, the threat of arrest started hanging over all three.
On Saturday (30 March), ED officials had filed a Prosecution Complaint (PC) of about 5500 pages in the special court of Ranchi PMLA, in which detailed information was given about how money was laundered through land scam. On which the court has taken cognizance.
The main accused in this case, former Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Bhanu Pratap, a light employee of Bargain area, are currently lodged in judicial custody in Birsa Munda Central Jail. The then Chief Minister Hemant Soren was arrested on the night of January 31 in a money laundering case after his resignation. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had arrested Hemant Soren after more than seven hours of interrogation in the land scam case.
