Ranchi: Counting of votes will be done in Pandra in the first phase under the threetier Panchayat Election while polling parties and material will be dispatched from the football stadium at Morhabadi.
District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Ranchi, Chhavi Ranjan in a meeting with the senior officials of various cells constituted for the successful conduct of Panchayat elections, has asked the concerned officials to ensure necessary preparations at all times.
In the meeting held in the Deputy Commissioner’s auditorium located at the Collectorate the general observer of Bundu subdivision Pawan Kumar and general observer of Sadar sub-division Dashrath Chandra Das, expenditure observers Rampravesh Prasad and Abdul Khaliq along with Rural SP, City SP, concerned police officials along with others were present.
During the meeting, he reviewed the works of various cells constituted for Panchayat elections in turn. Information about the training of the polling party was inquired by the Deputy Commissioner over which it was informed by the senior officer of the concerned cell that the training is going on as per the schedule.
All the BDOs/COs were directed by the Deputy Commissioner to make available the sensitivity report as per the requirement. The DC said that not more than five booths should be tagged on a patrolling magistrate. In view of the rising heat, the Deputy Commissioner also gave necessary directions to the concerned officer regarding providing medicine kits for the polling parties. While reviewing the works of other cells, the Deputy Commissioner also gave necessary directions to the concerned senior officers.
