Coronavirus tally reaches 1,12,32 as 211 cases found on Thursday

Ranchi: The Coronavirus tally in the state on Thursday reached 1,12,332 as 211 cases of Covid-19 were detected across 18 districts of  Jharkhand.

During the day 3 deaths were reported including two from Ranchi and 1 from Dhanbad district as a result of which the overall death count has reached 1007. The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.89 percent.

As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 1,629 while the number of cured and discharged cases stood at 1,09,696. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 1007.

On Thursday a maximum number of 99 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 32 in East Singhbhum, 23 in Bokaro, 13 in Hazaribagh and 8 in Palamu (top five districts).

A total of number of 164 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 80 from Ranchi, 32 from East Singhbhum, 10 from Bokaro, 6 each from Ramgarh and Deoghar and 5 each from Dumka and Jamtara districts.

Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once gone above 97 percent mark to currently stand at 97.65 percent in Jharkhand.

So far in the state 45,86,827 samples have been collected out of which 45,71,733 have been tested and 44,59,401 have turned out to be negative.
