Ranchi: The Coronavirus tally in the state on Wednesday reached 1,12,121 as 190 cases of Covid-19 were detected across 16 districts of Jharkhand.
During the day 3 deaths were reported including one each from Dumka, Hazaribagh and Palamu districts as a result of which the overall death count has reached 1004. The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.89 percent.
As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 1,585 while a number of cured and discharged cases stood at 1,09,532. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 1004.
On Wednesday a maximum number of 87 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 30 in East Singhbhum, 18 in Bokaro, 9 in Palamu and 7 in Dhanbad (top five districts).
A total of number of 180 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 86 from Ranchi, 16 from East Singhbhum, 14 from Palamu, 13 from Bokaro and 10 from Garhwa district.
Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once gone above 97 percent mark to currently stand at 97.69 percent in Jharkhand.
So far in the state 45,64,620 samples have been collected out of which 45,51,337 have been tested and 44,39,216 have turned out to be negative.
