“Constitution is our foundation, law, pride & self-respect”: CM Soren

Ranchi: India celebrated the 75th anniversary of the adoption of its Constitution on Tuesday. This day, which has been observed as Constitution Day since 2015, commemorates the historic moment when the Constitution of India came into effect in 1950.

In a social media message, Chief Minister Hemant Soren expressed his deep respect for the Constitution, describing it as the foundation, law, and pride and self-respect of the nation. He stated, “The Constitution is our foundation, our law, and our honour and self-respect.” He also paid tribute to Dr BR Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution, and all those who contributed to its creation. “I offer my heartfelt respects to Dr BR Ambedkar and all the Constitution makers who gave the nation this invaluable and great document,” the Chief Minister wrote.

Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Divas, is observed to honour the contributions of the framers of the Constitution. The day serves as a reminder of the core values of justice, equality, and democracy, which the Constitution enshrines for all citizens of India.

CM Soren also extended warm wishes to all citizens on this special day, stating, “On this auspicious occasion of Constitution Day, I convey my heartfelt greetings to all fellow citizens and wish them well.” He concluded his message with the traditional Jharkhand greeting, “Johar.”
