Ranchi: Congress Lok Sabha MP Geeta Koda appeared in Ranchi Civil Court today in the case of not filing an income tax return. For the first time after the surrender, Geeta Koda has appeared in the CJM court. After this, the court directed the prosecution to present witnesses on the next date.
Geeta Koda got anticipatory bail from the court of Additional Justice MC Jha on January 19. After this, he surrendered in Ranchi CJM court last Thursday and got regular bail on two personal bonds of Rs 10 thousand each.
A case was registered against him in the court under economic offenses by the Income Tax Department on January 4, 2012. Geeta Koda is accused of not filing income tax return in 2009-10 and not giving correct information.
