Congress ministers return from Raipur for cabinet meeting on Thursday

Ranchi: The four Congress ministers in Hemant Soren’s government of the state including Rameshwar Oraon, Banna Gupta, Badal Patralekh and Aalamgir Alam returned to Ranchi from Raipur to attend the Cabinet meeting scheduled for Thursday even as political uncertainties continue to stifle the state. 

The four Congress ministers have returned to Ranchi to attend the Cabinet meeting on Thursday, a senior party leader said Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon, Health Minister Banna Gupta and Agriculture Minister Badal Patralekh and Rural Development Minister Alamgir Aalam have returned back.

Earlier on Wednesday afternoon, Jharkhand Labour Minister Satyanand Bhokta from RJD and Congress Poraiyahat MLA Pradeep Yadav went to Raipur on a helicopter from Ranchi airport. The same helicopter brought back the four Congress ministers and also Bhokta. On Tuesday, 32 MLAs of the UPA in Jharkhand were airlifted to a resort in the neighboring state of Chhattisgarh were they have been lodged for the next two days.

The MLAs of the JMM and Congress boarded a special flight of Indigo to Raipur from where the MLAs were taken to the Mayfair resort located in Nava Raipur. A thick security cover has been thrown around the resort to keep the flock intact.
