Ranchi: Yashaswini Sahay, Congress candidate from Ranchi on behalf of India Alliance, will file nomination papers tomorrow i.e. on May 6. According to the ongoing programme, Yashaswini Sahay will accompany the procession to file nomination. Apart from Congress, a large number of supporters of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and RJD will participate with flags and banners.
The procession will leave from E-39 Sector, the residence of former Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahay, at 7:30 am, which will pass through Dhurwa, Sector 3, Birsa Chowk, Hinnu Chowk, Doranda AG Mod, Swami Vivekananda Chowk, Baba Saheb Ambedkar Chowk, Risaldar Baba Mazar. It will reach Collectorate Building via Kadru Bridge, Kadru, Argora Chowk, Harmu Chowk, Swami Sahajanand Chowk, Kartik Oraon Chowk, Bharat Mata Chowk, Kishoreganj Chowk, Ratu Road Square, Zakir Hussain Park. Where Yashaswini Sahay will file nomination papers. After this, there will be a public meeting of Yashaswini Sahay at Morhabadi Maidan in Ranchi.
According to the information, Chief Minister Champai Soren, RJD leader and Minister Satyanand Bhokta and other leaders of the alliance will attend the public meeting. Lok Sabha elections in Ranchi are to be held in the sixth phase i.e. on May 25. Apart from Ranchi, voting will also be held on Giridih, Dhanbad and Jamshedpur parliamentary seats on the same day.
The nomination process for the sixth phase is going on from April 29, which will continue till May 6. Scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on May 7. Candidates will be able to withdraw their names till May 9. Ranchi Lok Sabha constituency consists of 6 assembly constituencies – Ichagarh, Silli, Khijri, Ranchi, Hatia and Kanke.
