Ranchi – The Indian Coast Guard launched a youth outreach campaign in Ranchi on Monday as part of its nationwide initiative to encourage students to consider careers in maritime defense and public service.
The event featured Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, who interacted with students at SS Memorial College and highlighted the Coast Guard as a force that not only offers career opportunities but also a platform to serve the nation.
Senior Coast Guard officers, including DIG K.L., engaged with students, offering technical and operational insights into the life and duties of the force. The event also saw the distribution of promotional kits and bags to participating students.
Sanjay Seth later took to social media, sharing photos from the campaign and emphasizing that the Indian Coast Guard is a patriotic calling, not just a job. He lauded the students’ curiosity and eagerness to learn about the force.
The Coast Guard is visiting 50 institutions in Ranchi as part of its awareness campaign, spreading information about recruitment, training, and the critical role the force plays in national security, marine protection, and disaster relief efforts.
