CM to inaugurate free skill training and employment incentive-transport allowance on Saturday

Ranchi: According to the manifesto of his party, Chief Minister Hemant Soren to inaugurate the Birsa Employment Incentive Allowance and Transport Allowance Scheme on July 22 under the Chief Minister Sarathi Yojana. Along with this, he will start a scheme to provide free skill training to the talented youth of the state.

Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam and Labour Planning, Skill Development Minister Satyanand Bhokta will be present in the programme. This program will be held in Aryabhatta Auditorium. The main goal of this scheme is to connect the talented youth of the state with employment and self-employment by giving them free skill training. So that the youth of the state can find the path of self-reliance to enhance their hidden talent. This will be facilitated through Birsa Kendra (Block Level Institute for Rural Skill Acquisition).

In the first phase (2023-24), the scheme will be launched in 80 blocks of the state. In the coming days, Birsa scheme will be implemented in all the blocks of the state. Youth of all categories will be able to take advantage of the Mukhyamantri Sarathi Yojana, which is being started for the youth, free of cost. 

Skill training will be provided at block level for 18-35 year old men and women of general category and up to 50 years of reserved category ST, SC and OBC men and women. After training, in case successful youths do not get employment within three months, youths will be given Rs.1000 as an employment incentive allowance and Rs.1500 per month to girls, disabled, and transsexuals through DBT for a maximum of one year. 100 per month will be sent through DBT to the trainees of non-residential training from their home to the training centre.
