CM special scholarship will be given to 1.5 lakh students of state

Ranchi: About 1.5 lakh students of the state will get the Chief Minister’s Special Scholarship as preparation for this has been completed. All the students will get the scholarship amount this month. Its preparation has been completed by the State Education Project. 

Under this special scholarship scheme, a minimum of Rs 500 and a maximum of Rs 2300 will be available. This amount has been fixed class-wise. The benefit of this scholarship is given only to the general category students studying in government schools of the state.

Chief Minister Special Scholarship is given to the students of classes 1st to 12th. For this, 1,47,928 students of the state have been selected. They will be paid the scholarship amount in March. For this, the Jharkhand Education Project Council has given instructions to all the districts.

This facility is being made available to the general category students studying in classes 1st to 12th, who are not getting the benefit of any other scholarship. From the financial year 2022-23, the Chief Minister’s special scholarship will be given by the state government through an online app. This is likely to take some time. That’s why, like the previous year, funds have to be made available for scholarships to students through PFMSDBT. 

Class-wise scholarship amount has been fixed as for classes 1st to 4th Rs 500 5th 6th Rs 1000 VII-VIII Rs 1500 9th 10th Rs 1500 and from 11th-12th Rs 2300 State Project Director of JEPC Kiran Kumari Pasi said that instructions have been sent to all the districts.

According to the district-wise target, the amount to be given to the students will be uploaded on the PFMS portal by March 10. Districts have been asked to upload the data in one go so that it can be completed in time she informed.
