Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren, along with MLA Kalpana Soren, met with the team of Yuva India Trust at the Chief Minister’s residential office in Ranchi. During the meeting, the team informed the CM about their ongoing programs in Ormanjhi block of Ranchi district, which focus on the education of underprivileged girls, life skills training, and football coaching.
Appreciating their efforts, the Chief Minister said the state government is fully committed to supporting the dreams and aspirations of Jharkhand’s daughters. He lauded the trust for identifying and nurturing sports talent among girls from remote areas like Ormanjhi.
Highlighting the state’s focus on sports, the Chief Minister said that Jharkhand’s strength lies in its sporting talent. “Our players have made the state proud with their performance across various sports disciplines. The government is continuously working to strengthen the sports infrastructure and provide job opportunities and recognition to athletes,” he said.
He further added that the government has been developing sports grounds in every panchayat and organizing national and international-level tournaments in the state to create a positive environment for sports. “We are also planning to organize major football events to provide a platform for budding footballers,” he said.
Addressing the girls, the Chief Minister encouraged them to dream big. “To soar high, you must first dare to dream. No work is small or big. Whatever field you choose, work with honesty and dedication and success will follow,” he said. He also emphasized that while life is full of challenges, one must remain focused, determined, and resilient to achieve their goals.
During the interaction, several girls who are part of the trust’s programs shared their experiences. They said the trust had brought a positive change in their lives, allowing them to pursue education alongside professional football training. Some girls have already participated in football tournaments held abroad.
Yuva India Trust Director Franz Gastler informed the Chief Minister that the trust, with support from the Sachin Tendulkar Foundation, runs three core programs in Ormanjhi. These include a school providing education from Class 2 to 12, football training for around 600 girls, and life skills workshops covering topics such as health, career planning, and campus placements. He also shared plans to establish a new campus in Khunti district, to which the CM assured full government support.
