CM Soren invited to Europe’s entrepreneurial hub

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren has been officially invited by Miss Katarina Class from International Relations & Delegations at Göteborg AB – the driving force behind the European Entrepreneurial Region 2020 (EER) and the prestigious EVS38 summit – to explore strategic collaborations that could transform Jharkhand’s economic landscape.

Göteborg AB, representing 13 municipalities in Sweden’s Gothenburg region, is celebrated for its innovation-driven approach to sustainable growth and entrepreneurship. The EER label, awarded by the European Committee of the Regions, honours regions with outstanding support for startups and small businesses, making this invitation a golden opportunity for Jharkhand to connect with Europe’s leading innovators.

During a planned week-long European tour, CM Soren and his delegation engaged with clean energy pioneers, tech leaders, and policymakers, focusing on Jharkhand’s key sectors such as renewable energy, mining, steel, and agriculture. The delegation’s agenda included exclusive meetings with entrepreneurs and visits to cutting-edge research centres specialising in solar and clean energy technologies.

State officials hailed this initiative as a bold step to showcase Jharkhand’s industrial potential and tap into European expertise for sustainable development. While opposition raised question over practical benefits of such visits, the invitation from Göteborg AB underscores Jharkhand’s growing stature on the global stage.

This collaboration could mark a pivotal moment in Jharkhand’s journey toward innovation-led growth and international economic partnerships, positioning the state as a vibrant hub for future-ready industries.
