Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday paid tributes to Veer Budhu Bhagat on the occasion of his 229th Jayanti.
The Chief Minister garlanded the portrait of the great freedom fighter. On the occasion, he said that it is a matter of great pride that his birth anniversary is being celebrated in the state.
He said that before the revolt of 1857 in the year 1832 itself Veer Budhu Bhagat had blown the trumpet of rebellion against the British Rule and the rebellion is known in the pages of history as ‘Larka Vidroh’.
He said that with his bravery Veer Budhu Bhagat taught a lesson to the British and the country can never forget his contribution in the freedom struggle of the country. The Chief Minister said that his ideals are an inspiration for everyone and asked the people to follow the path shown by him to make a better society and state.
