CM Hemant Soren announced ST-SC persons to get pension from the age of 50 under the Universal Pension Scheme

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced on Friday on completion of 4 years of tenure of his government that Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste persons of the state will now get pension from the age of 50 under the Universal Pension Scheme.

At the same time, the money received as commission by ration dealers will also be increased soon.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced this at the state level function organized at Morhabadi Ground in the capital Ranchi on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the state government.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that you all have entrusted me with the responsibility of running the state.

In such a situation, we are continuously trying to move the state forward with the cooperation of all of you.

The Chief Minister said that the journey of the last 4 years has been very challenging for the government formed under my leadership.

When our government was formed, a global pandemic like Corona engulfed us.

The war against Corona continued for 2 years.

After getting some relief from this, we had to face drought.

In the midst of such a disaster, the government continued to work 24 hours for the life and livelihood of everyone including the poor, labourers, deprived and helpless people.

The Covid management system we created to provide relief to people in these difficult circumstances was appreciated by the country and the world.

Coming out of all these adverse circumstances, today we are giving a new impetus to development.

The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand has always been the land of heroes. He gave everything for the sake of water, forest and land.

Continued struggle against injustice and exploitation.

The heroes here shook the roots of British rule.

He agitated for a separate state of Jharkhand for 40 years.

If we search the history, from the protection of water, forests and land till Jharkhand became a separate state, countless heroes sacrificed their lives here.

We salute these heroes and are moving towards building the Jharkhand of their dreams.

The Chief Minister said that our government is running from the villages.

We are strengthening the rural economy, because the state cannot become strong without strengthening the villages.

In this series, in the years 2021, 2022 and 2023, your problems were solved by organizing camps in Panchayat under the program “Aapki Yojana, Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar” program.

Benefits of welfare schemes were given.

Due to the enthusiasm seen among the people of the state regarding this programme, now camps will be organized in the Panchayat every year.

Officials will reach your home and solve your problems. During this time we will come to you with new schemes.

The Chief Minister said that in the last two phases of the “Aapki Yojana – Aapki Sarkar – Aapke Dwar” programme, lakhs of people came to the camps with their problems.

This clearly shows how serious the problems were at the grass roots.

But, no government cared about this.

People were neither getting the proper benefits of the schemes nor were their problems being resolved.

When our government was formed, we started the process of alleviating the pain and suffering of the people by giving priority to the problems based on their magnitude and this will continue.

The Chief Minister informed the public about the work of the last 20 years and the work and achievements of his government in the last 4 years.

He said that the previous governments had invalidated 11 lakh ration cards.

Our government has issued 20 lakh green ration cards and is working to provide them free of cost by purchasing grains at market prices.

Now pulses will also be given to ration card holders.

Apart from this, only 8 lakh people were getting pension in the last 20 years.

We have worked to connect all the eligible candidates of the state with the pension scheme in 4 years.

In the last 20 years, only eight lakh farmers had received Kisan Credit Cards.

We have issued 20 lakh Kisan Credit Cards in just 4 years and even today the work of connecting farmers to KCC is going on.

The Chief Minister said that lakhs of laborers from Jharkhand migrate to other states for employment.

This came to light when our government started the process of bringing the workers back to their homes during the Corona epidemic.

This kind of migration of laborers for employment was a matter of great concern for us.

In such a situation, we laid special emphasis on those schemes through which we can provide employment to these laborers in their villages.

We are working very fast in this direction.

The Chief Minister said that the government is committed to providing better and quality education to children.

In this series, 80 Schools of Excellence have been opened in the first phase and their number will be increased to 5 thousand in the coming days.

To ensure that girls do not leave their studies due to financial constraints, they are being given Rs 40 thousand under the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana.

Now daughters will not only get degrees, but will also become engineers, doctors and officers.

Apart from this, all the students from class 10th to 12th will be given a Guruji Credit Card so that they can improve their future.

All the hostels of the Welfare Department are also being renovated.

Now the students living here should only worry about their studies, the state government will also make arrangements for their food and drink.

Not only this, the government is also giving 100% scholarships for higher education abroad.

At the same time, the government is also providing financial assistance for preparing for competitive exams and doing various courses.

The Chief Minister said that avenues for appointments have opened in the state.

Thousands of vacant posts in government departments have been filled.

At the same time, the recruitment process is going on for more than 45 thousand posts.

Whereas, offer letters have been given to more than 50 thousand youth in private institutions also.

Our government has also made a law that it will be mandatory for all the institutions and companies in Jharkhand to give 75 percent jobs to the locals.

Till now, more than 12 thousand youth are taking advantage of this scheme and starting their own business.

For this they will be given all facilities and assistance.

The Chief Minister said that the government has schemes for all other classes and sections including tribals, Dalits, minorities, backward classes, women, youth, elderly, disabled, farmers, laborers.

All you have to do is choose the plans you need and empower yourself by taking advantage of them.

The Chief Minister said that the government is also doing many works in the direction of women empowerment.

So far, Rs 8000 crore has been given to the women associated with Sakhi Mandals to make them self-reliant.

The Chief Minister said that the State Government is working rapidly towards strengthening the infrastructure as it opens the door to development.

He said that about 15 thousand kilometers of rural roads are being constructed at a cost of Rs 6 thousand crores.

At the same time, high quality roads are being built with Rs 7 thousand crores.

The Chief Minister said that the grid sub-stations, transmission and distribution systems are being strengthened to ensure 24-hour uninterrupted power supply to the people of the state.

Apart from this, there are some districts of the state where for electricity supply one has to get expensive electricity from DVC, but I assure you that in the next one and a half years, we will strengthen our electricity system so much that the dependence on DBC will be completely eliminated. It will end.

The Chief Minister said that the youth of Jharkhand are moving forward.

Jharkhand will become 25 years old in the year 2025.

We have set a target that in the next two years, we will make Jharkhand so powerful that it will progress on its own and there will be no need to take help from anyone.
