Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren has directed the Deputy Commissioner, Chatra to investigate the matter of beating of two people on Independence Day and take strict action against the guilty.
The Chief Minister has also directed the Chatra Police to take action.
The Superintendent of Police, Chatra apprised the Chief Minister that a case has been registered against 10 people on August 15. Both the youths were beaten up on the charge of mobile theft. Three people have been arrested in the case. Raids are being conducted against the remaining accused.
The Chief Minister was informed that on Independence Day, two Dalits were accused of mobile theft and beaten up brutally by the Mukhiya Pati by tying them with a rope in Chatra. A video regarding this was also shared with the Chief Minister.
