CM Champai ordered SIT to investigate JSSC Paper Leak case

Ranchi: After becoming CM, Champai Soren held a meeting regarding increasing crime and law and order in the state. In the meeting, he asked the state Chief Secretary, DGP and other senior officials to control crime at all costs. He has asked to control the crime happening in six districts at all costs.

During the meeting, it was clearly said that special attention should be paid to crime control in Ranchi, Dumka, Dhanbad, Giridih, Jamshedpur, Hazaribagh. He also said that whatever things are required to stop crime should be bought but crime should be controlled.

In the meeting, Chief Minister Champai Soren was informed about the recent crime incidents and the ongoing action against them. Regarding the recent incident of vandalism in Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission, CM Champai Soren said that SIT should be constituted. Form a SIT and investigate the case as soon as possible and arrest the culprits.

He said that to ensure that such incidents do not recur, strict action should be taken against the criminals who commit the incidents. On which the officials said that the police administration has registered an FIR in this matter. Research is also continuing. In the meeting, police officials also informed the Chief Minister about the incident that took place in Jharia, Dhanbad.

The Chief Minister directed the officials to register an FIR and immediately investigate the incident that took place in Jharia. Police officials informed the Chief Minister that the police administration is keeping a close watch on this incident. Many arrests have also been made. Research is ongoing. 

The Chief Minister reviewed the atrocities on women on the spot. Regarding atrocities against women, the Chief Minister was informed by the officials that due to efforts in maintaining law and order in the state, communal and sensitive incidents have reduced. Due to the action taken by the police, cases of dowry harassment, theft, POCSO and murder have also reduced.

The Chief Minister said that in the year 2019, 7650 cases were registered in various cases of atrocities against women. Whereas 7464 cases have been registered in the year 2020, 7279 in the year 2021, 6963 in the year 2022 and 6132 cases have been registered since the year 2023.

There has been a continuous decline in the cases of atrocities against women in the last 4 years. The Chief Minister asked to end such cases as soon as possible. While reviewing the cases related to murder crime, Chief Minister Champai Soren directed the officials that there has definitely been a decline in the murder cases but their prompt investigation is necessary.

The Chief Minister directed the officials that there is a need to keep special vigil in Ranchi. The Chief Minister directed the officials to pay special attention to crime control in Ranchi, Dumka, Dhanbad, Giridih, Jamshedpur and Hazaribagh, because if any crime occurs in such places, it has a negative impact on the entire state.
