Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren chaired a high level meeting over the prevailing Covid situation in the state during which he gave necessary directions to the officials. The Chief Minister directed the officials to keep the hospital oxygen-supported beds medicines and medical oxygen ready and in sufficient stock.
He said that in past one week in many countries the number of Covid cases has increased. He said that it may happen that in the days to come the number of Covid cases may rise therefore the entire medical machinery should be on alert mode.
He asked the officials to keep a sharp eye on the situation and said that there were was a need to seriously maintain the medical apparatus in the state so that in case of emergency there should not be any panic.
He said that on a war footing preparations have been made by the state government to tackle the situation.
In the meeting the Chief Minister was informed by the officials so far in the state 442568 cases of Corona have been detected out of which 437236 patients have been cured and recovery rate was at 98.80 percent. They informed that in the state a total of 5331 people have lost their lives as overall mortality rate was 1.19 percent.
At present the number of active patients was one in the state. Those present in the meeting included Health Minister Banna Gupta Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh Additional Chief Secretary Health Arun Kumar Singh and others.
