Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren has approved a proposal to set up the Naval wing of the NCC under Group Headquarters Ranchi and constitution of different posts to run its affairs.
The Tourism Arts and Culture Department has prepared a proposal to set up the Naval wing and in the next cabinet meeting the proposal would be put forward. In the naval wing 400 senior and 2100 junior category cadets will get training.
In Jharkhand there are two group headquarters of NCC in Ranchinand Hazaribagh under whom 14 units are functioning in which nearly 30,000 boys and girls are being provided training but there is no Naval wing of NCC in the state.
