Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren has given his approval to the proposal for the creation of posts of teachers for the conduct of Santhali Ho Kudukh, Kurmali and Mundari languages in the affiliated colleges and postgraduate centers under Kolhan University, Chaibasa.
This step has been taken by the government in the direction of ensuring the education of regional and tribal languages in the state universities. In Kolhan University, it is proposed to create 159 posts of teachers in Santhali, Ho, Kudukh, Kurmali and Mundari languages under regional and tribal languages.
This includes 147 posts of assistant teachers, 8 posts of associate professors and 4 posts of professors. It has been proposed to create posts of 135 teachers in 14 affiliated colleges under the university. In this, 6 posts of teachers are to be created in Kudukh language, 39 in Santhali language, 39 in Ho language, 39 in Kurmali language and 12 in Mundari language. At the same time, a total of 24 teachers’ posts are to be created in the post-graduate centers, including 6 posts each in Santhali, Ho, Kurmali and Mundari languages.
