CM appeals youths to set up a rice mill, govt will make special arrangements

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday said that the government is making continuous efforts to promote industries in the state. “ In the industrial policy, many facilities are being provided by the government to the industrialists. There were once many rice mills in areas like Chakulia, Baharagora and Ghatshila, but today the situation is not good.

Our government has made many decisions to promote rice mills. Permission has been given to open more than a dozen rice mills and soon all of them will become operational” said the Chief Minister. He said that the government is giving 40 percent subsidy to those opening rice mills.

The Chief Minister asked the youth to come forward to set up rice mills and other industries. The government will make special arrangements for you. He said that this would boost employment generation and also strengthen the economy of the state. 

He said “ Be it the security of the country or saving water, forests, land and environment. Be it protest against injustice and exploitation or fight for our dignity and rights. The tribal people of Jharkhand have never bowed down and never stopped. We have been struggling on every front and will continue to do so” 

“ History is witness to the fact that many heroes here have sacrificed their lives for the sake of society and country. We all are proud of these immortal martyrs. Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren was addressing the tribute meeting-cum-asset distribution ceremony organized in the memory of martyrs at Kurukocha in Chakulia, East Singhbhum today” said the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister said that the government has taken many decisive steps to promote sports and sportspersons. For the first time, a sports policy has been made in the state. Under this policy, those who win medals in national and international level competitions are being directly appointed in government jobs.

Sports grounds are being developed under the Shaheed Poto Ho scheme. Along with distributing sports material among the players, financial help is also being provided through Sido Kanhu Club. Our effort is that the youth should progress through sports and bring glory to their families, state and country.

Chief Minister said that Jharkhand is the land of heroes. Many brave martyrs like Lord Birsa Munda, Sido-Kanhu, Tilka Manjhi and Nilambar Pitambar laid down their lives while leading the struggle against the British and exploitation and injustice. Even today, there are many brave martyrs who are unnamed, the government is making continuous efforts to identify them and honor them. It is our resolve to give full respect to the martyrs and their families.

The Chief Minister said that there are many such squares and intersections in the state, where statues of martyrs have been installed. Their statues remind us of their martyrdom. The Chief Minister said that ever since our government was formed, we have had to face many challenges. With the formation of the government, the Corona epidemic surrounded us. 

When the battle against Corona was won, drought conditions arose due to less rainfall. But, our government is dealing with these challenges and working to strengthen the state and its people through various schemes. We are committed that whatever the circumstances, the work of accelerating the development of the state will continue. Efforts continued for the betterment of education, teachers were given training in IIM.

The Chief Minister said that the government is continuously doing less for the betterment of education in the state. To ensure that children get higher and quality education, facilities and infrastructure in schools are being strengthened. Schools of Excellence have been opened. The teachers here have been trained at IIM Ahmedabad so that they can teach children in a modern way. Not only this, the government is providing financial help to children for various courses ranging from school education to higher education and preparation for competitive exams. 

Assets distributed among more than 11 lakh beneficiaries On this occasion, the Chief Minister distributed assets worth Rs 757 crore 4 lakh 99 thousand 9 hundred among 11 lakh 14 thousand 756 beneficiaries. They were provided benefits of many welfare schemes like Chief Minister Employment Generation Scheme, Chief Minister Livestock Scheme, Chief Minister Shramik Scheme, Sarvajan Pension Scheme, Dhoti Saree Scheme, Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana and Chief Minister Critical Illness Scheme.

On this occasion, Ministers Mr. Champai Soren and Mr. Banna Gupta, MLA Mr. Ramdas Soren, Mrs. Savita Mahato, Mr. Mangal Kalindi and Mr. Sameer Mohanty, Chairman of Jharkhand State Minorities Commission Mr. Hidayatullah Khan, Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Vinay Kumar Choubey, besides DIG. Many officials of the district administration including the Deputy Commissioner and Senior Superintendent of Police of East Singhbhum district were resent.
