Ranchi: The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has announced the ICSE or class 10th result on Sunday which is the final result announced by the board which includes both term 1 and term 2 scores
as well as marks obtained by students in internal assessment.
The final mark sheet of ICSE or class 10 students will be available at cisce.org and results.cisce. org. To pass the two-term exams, students had to clear the exams combined. This means, the pass or fail status is declared based on the final score and not term-wise.
To pass, students need 33 per cent marks overall. Last year, all students had cleared the ICSE, that is, a pass percentage of 100 per cent was recorded while 99.93 per cent of the students who registered for ISC managed to pass the exam.
This is for the first time in the history of the board, that the CISCE conducted two examinations in a single examination year. While semester one examinations were held in November- December 2021, the second-semester exams were held in April-May, 2022 for both class 10 and class 12. A total of 2,31,063 students appeared for the exam. Of them, as many as 99.97 percent of students managed to pass the exams.
The pass percentage of girls was higher than boys as 99.98 percent of girls and 99.97 percent of girls managed to pass the exams. Of these as many as 12,980 Scheduled Caste candidates took the examination achieving a pass percentage of 99.97 percent.
Further, 7975 Scheduled Tribe candidates took the examination achieving a pass percentage of 99.94 percent. In Other Backward Classes candidates, 49731 students took the examination achieving a pass percentage of 99.99 percent.
Four students including three girls and one boy student have jointly secured the first rank. All these students obtained 99.80 percent marks, each. On the other hand, the council has made provision for the candidates to apply for recheck directly through the Council’s website www. cisce.org.
A rechecking fee of Rs 1000 per paper will be applicable. The rescheduling will only be allowed for semester 2 exams this time as for semester 1 exams, the facility was provided earlier. The rechecking will be available from July 17 to July 23.
