Chinese delegation expresses desire to partner in development of Jharkhand

Ranchi: Chief Secretary Dr DK Tiwari met with a Chinese delegation in his office at the project building here during which the delegation expressed its willingness to cooperate in the development of Jharkhand.

Chinese delegation which was led by Leu, Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China, Kolkata, said that in Jharkhand, further development can be done by cooperating in the areas of urban development, food processing, skill development, organic farming and solar energy.

The Chief Secretary said that in the field of organic farming can be marked as the common areas for cooperation. The Chinese delegation said that with the Chief Minister, the Chief Secretary has also seen urban development in their visit to China so scope of cooperation is expected in this area. While emphasizing on increasing the number of students learning Chinese in Jharkhand Central University, they said that they can have employment opportunities in China. They also expressed willingness to work in the field of skill development in Jharkhand.

The Chinese delegation emphasized on a continuous dialogue with each other and said that its scope should be extended to the people of China and Jharkhand for this, the emphasis was given on visit of people from the field of education, art and others. People trading with China will be provided the facilities they need, the delegation assured also expressed their desire to see the academic institutions of Jharkhand. On this Mr Tiwari said that, after having words with the State Government, they will be informed.

The Chinese delegation gave a memento to the Chief Secretary following which he too also gave them a souvenir engraving the tribal traditions of Jharkhand.
