Children are the most valuable resource: Raghubar

Ranchi, May 30: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that
children were the most valuable asset for the state and by educating
them the state can be taken on the new heights of development.

Addressing a award function organized by JAC here he said that after
coming to power his government has laid stress on the strengthening of
the education sector in theĀ  state as part of which impetus has also
been added on strengthening of the infrastructure in the schools. He
said that apart from desk and benches in the school arrangements for
drinking water and toilets are also beingĀ  made and schools are being
given power connections.

Mr Das said that the state government was also working to address
the problem of teachers crisis in the schools and steps are being
taken to reduce the drop out rates. Mr Das said that by July
recruitment of the teachers will be done and suggested that government
schools should also be provided grading. He said that such schools
which are in grade A should maintain their standard while those in B
should make efforts to reach the A class while those in C should make
more efforts for improvement. He directed the DSEs to undertake field
visit as ensuring quality education to the children was there
responsibility.
