Chief Minister Hemant Soren participates in Chhath Mahaparv with family, offers Arghya to Bhagwan Bhaskar

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren along with his wife Kalpana Soren and both sons participated in the Chhath Mahaparv by offering Arghya to the ascending Sun God. The Chief Minister sought blessings from Bhagwan Bhaskar for the happiness and prosperity of the people of Jharkhand.

The Chief Minister reached Hatniya Talab in Nakshatra Van of Ranchi with his family and participated in Chhath Puja among hundreds of devotees. Speaking on the occasion the Chief Minister said that this great festival is known for worshiping the Sun God. Chhath Mahaparva is a symbol of the worship of nature. The belief in nature and its connection with it has been a tradition of Indian culture. 

The Chief Minister said that the mothers and sisters worship Bhagwan Bhaskar by fasting for 72 hours which is a wonderful tradition dating back thousands of years. It is a great example of dedication, purity, faith and cleanliness. He bowed his head to this tradition. Chief Minister Hemant Soren while wishing the people of the state on the occasion said that Chhati Maya should keep everyone happy, everyone should be healthy, and blesses everyone with happiness and welfare.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his wife Kalpana Soren paid their homage by offering Arghya to Bhagwan Bhaskar along with the family members of Chhath Vrati Vinod Kumar Verma resident of Deputypada and Shivnarayan Ram, a resident of Deendayal Nagar at Hatniya Talab. Chhath Vrati Vinod Kumar Verma runs a paan shop next to Rajasthan Kalevalya located at Kachari Chowk while Shivnarayan Ram works as a tailor in the Road Construction Department.
