Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren has approved the proposal to create 7232 posts of Assistant Professor for Urdu in primary schools of the state.
These include 5478 posts for primary schools (class 1 to 5) and 1754 posts for upper primary (class 6 to 8) schools.
It may be noted that 4401 posts are sanctioned for assistant teachers of Urdu in primary schools of the entire state.
Of these, 689 posts of Urdu teachers were appointed, while 3712 posts are vacant.
In such a situation, by transferring the sanctioned posts of assistant teachers of Urdu in primary schools of the state, the post of assistant teacher has been created against the said posts and the pay scale has been changed.
On the basis of the report of Jharkhand Education Project Council, Ranchi, a total of 7981 posts of Assistant Professor are to be created in the order of students studying Urdu in primary and upper primary schools of all the districts of the state.
There are 6167 posts of assistant teachers in primary schools and 1754 posts of assistant teachers in middle schools.
But, 689 inter-trained Urdu assistant teachers are working in primary schools.
Therefore, 5478 posts of assistant teachers have been created in primary schools and 1754 (total 7232 posts) in middle schools of the state.
50,000 posts of assistant teachers have been sanctioned by converting the posts of assistant teachers in primary and middle schools of the state.
The pay scale of Assistant Professor is fixed at Level-4 of the seventh Centrally Revised Pay Scale for intermediate trained and Level-5 for graduate trained.
In the above context, the vacant posts of Urdu teachers have also been changed as per the above.
