Chief Minister held a high level meeting with senior officials regarding maintenance of law and order during Durga Puja and other upcoming festivals

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren held a high-level meeting with senior officials and Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police of all the districts through video conferencing regarding maintenance of law and order during Durga Puja, Diwali, Chhath Mahaparva and other festivals at the Jharkhand Ministry.

Durga Puja and other upcoming festivals should be completed peacefully in the state.

Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police of all the districts should ensure that there is no incident of any kind of violence and disturbance anywhere.

In this sequence, all administrative preparations should be done on time, so that there is no scope for any untoward incident during the festivals.

On this occasion, he took information from the officials regarding the arrangements for security, cleanliness, hygiene, electricity-water, transport system, ambulance, fire brigade etc. during the festival and gave them many important instructions.

The Chief Minister said that any kind of violence during festivals affects the image of the state government.

In such a situation, strong security arrangements should be made to prevent such incidents.

Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police of all the districts should keep their information system strong so that immediate action can be taken if any information is received.

The Chief Minister asked the officials to exercise special caution in sensitive and crowded areas during Durga Puja.

There should be a system of monitoring anti-social elements especially in pandals and surrounding areas.

Take full care that there should be no incidents of molestation of women and that people coming from rural areas should not face any kind of inconvenience.

The Chief Minister said that during festivals many times there is a possibility of an accident due to power cuts.

In such a situation, all high masts and street lights should be repaired within two days.

He asked the Deputy Commissioners of the districts to keep alternative arrangements ready regarding power supply, so that if there is a power cut due to any reason, the high mast light can be switched on immediately.

It would be better to arrange for a generator for this.

The Chief Minister said that all CCTV cameras in all important and big puja pandals and immersion procession routes should be functional so that the activities here can be continuously monitored.

Along with this, there should be 24-hour deployment of soldiers in puja pandals.

There should be static forces in sensitive areas of the immersion procession route and mobile forces along with all puja committees.

The Chief Minister said that bricks and stones should not be left anywhere on the immersion procession route.

If any brick or stone has fallen somewhere, take initiative to remove it immediately.

The iron wires installed in the divider should also be repaired, so that no untoward incident occurs due to this.

The Chief Minister asked the officials to encourage various puja committees to organize eco-friendly pujas.

For this, you should connect emotionally with the puja committees and make them aware that there should be no pollution during the puja.

You should also plan that the puja committees that follow the government guidelines regarding pollution control will be rewarded.

This will send a good message among the puja committees and good results will also be seen in the coming years.

The Chief Minister told the officials to keep a close eye on social media during festivals.

 If someone tries to spread rumors or confusion on social media, take immediate action against him.

The Chief Minister said that keeping rivers, ponds and other water bodies clean is a big challenge today. Increasing the pollution level of rivers is quite dangerous. In such a situation, take initiative to link puja with cleanliness campaigns and try to get consensus from all the puja committees for this.

On this occasion, Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Avinash Kumar, Director General of Police Ajay Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Vandana Dadel, Secretary to the Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey, DG Fire Services Anil Palta, DG CID Anurag Gupta, Secretary Amitabh Kaushal, Secretary Abu Bakar Siddique, ADG Operations Sanjay Anand Latkar, IG Operations Homkar Amol Vinukant, IG Special Branch Prabhat Kumar and IG CID Asim Vikrant Minz and all through video conferencing, Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police of the districts were present.
