Chief Minister Champai Soren held a high level meeting with Chief Secretary and other officials regarding revenue receipt and expenditure for the financial year 2023-24

 Ranchi: Chief Minister Champai Soren said that the electricity subsidy will be increased soon.

Electricity consumers will now be given 125 units of electricity free instead of 100 units and electricity will be supplied to all the deprived tolas. 

He directed the Energy Department to prepare a proposal in this regard.

The Chief Minister was holding a high level review meeting with the Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary and other officials regarding the revenue receipt and expenditure for the financial year 2023-24 in the Jharkhand Ministry.

On this occasion, he took information about the budgetary provisions and actual receipts and expenditure of various departments. He also reviewed the schemes run by various departments and gave necessary instructions to the officers. 

The Chief Minister directed all the departments to speed up the work of various schemes, so that maximum people can be benefited from them. The Chief Minister also asked to complete all the schemes related to public interest on time. He also directed to start the work on the approved schemes soon and complete the pending schemes. 

The Chief Minister asked the officials to further improve financial management. He said that now less than two months are left for the end of the current financial year. In such a situation, all the departments should speed up the expenditure of their budget so that they can meet the set target.

In the meeting, the Chief Minister took information about the achievements of department-wise centrally sponsored schemes. The Finance Department told the Chief Minister that necessary instructions have been given to all the departments to spend the amount received from the Central Government for centrally sponsored schemes. He also said that after the expenditure of this amount, a proposal will be sent to the Central Government to provide additional funds.

The Chief Minister took updated information about the applications received related to various schemes in the camps organized from 24 November to 26 December last year under the program “Aapki Yojana – Aapki Sarkar – Aapke Dwar”. Also know about the executed, rejected and pending applications in this order. He said that it should be ensured at all costs that the applications do not remain pending and the reason for the applications which have been rejected should also be given.

Officials told the Chief Minister that under the “Aapki Yojana-Aapki Sarkar-Aapke Dwar” program, more than 59 lakh 28 thousand applications have been received, out of which more than 60 percent have been executed. There should be a permanent waiting list for the Abua Housing Scheme. Instructions to immediately remove all the discrepancies in this scheme. Along with this, provision should also be made for action against misuse and abuse of this scheme. Instructions to ensure presence of doctors in all government hospitals.

Ensure timely payment of amount to farmers for paddy purchase by the government. The process of providing food grains to green ration card holders every month and increasing the commission of PDS dealers should be completed soon. The process of appointing teachers for tribal languages should be completed soon. The initiative to provide Guruji Credit Cards to all the students of class 12 should be started soon. The Chief Minister also directed to repair all roads older than 5 years. 

Officials said that 15,000 kilometers of rural roads have to be repaired in the state. In this, approval has been given to repair 9000 kilometers of road. The Chief Minister asked to complete the process of formation of Sido-Kanhu Club soon. Officials told the Chief Minister that 28 thousand Sido-Kanhu clubs have been formed in the entire state and the process of its registration is going on. All registered clubs will be given Rs 25,000 every year. 

The Chief Minister also directed to start the Mukhyamantri Gramin Gaadi Yojana immediately. Officials said that 80 vehicles have been purchased under this scheme and it will be made operational in a week. The Chief Minister also took information about the initiatives being taken to open medical colleges in Ranchi and Bokaro.

It was informed by the Health Department that approval for Bokaro Medical College has been received and DPR is being prepared for Ranchi Medical College. Meanwhile, Medico City will be built on the premises of Rinpas,  Ranchi.After getting the approval of this proposal from the Council of Ministers, the work of preparing the infrastructure will be started.

Instructions given to start the campaign of selection of women who have completed the age limit of 50 years for the Universal Pension Scheme. Instructions were also given regarding the arrangement of food for the students living in SC-ST hostels and the construction of multi-storey hostels. Expand 325 block level schools of excellence. New colleges will be built in Nawadih, Potka Chakulia and Bandgaon.

Universities and the process of appointment of professors in colleges should start soon. Under Mukhyamantri Pashudhan Yojana, cattle fairs should be organized in all the districts. Construction of one lakh Birsa irrigation well should start soon. Dakhil-kharij execution and tax receipt should be issued on time.
