Ranchi: The process of voting on the confidence motion has started in the Assembly. Champai Soren’s government won the trust vote by securing 47 votes. 29 votes were cast in opposition to the trust vote.
Saryu Rai is neither in favor nor against. Independent MLA Sarju Rai remained neutral. Ramdas Soren, an MLA from the ruling party, did not participate in the proceedings of the House due to illness.
After this the Speaker adjourned the proceedings of the House till 11 am on 6th February.
