Ranchi: Ranchi traffic police are alert about increasing road accidents in capital Ranchi. Now there is preparation to cut challans with strict monitoring on the roads. The speed limit has been fixed at 85 km per hour on the Highway. If the speed of a vehicle increases due to this, then its challan will be deducted.
Traffic SP Haris Bin Zaman said Smart City is monitoring the entry and exit points of the capital through cameras. Over speeding vehicles will be caught on camera and their challan will be deducted. A fine of Rs 1,000 will be imposed on vehicles ranging from two wheelers to cars and Rs 2,000 on heavy vehicles like buses, trucks and other vehicles. Not only on the highway, there is a preparation to cut challans to strengthen the traffic system in the city. Earlier, under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, there was a detailed discussion on the traffic system and increasing accident cases in the city.
In the meeting, it was decided to install speed limit boards on the Road Construction Department (RCD) and National Highway of India (NHI), but no action has been taken on this till now. Action will start after the board is installed under the Traffic Police CSR. To fix the traffic system in the city, a strict vigil will be kept on those who break the traffic rules. In this, it has been forbidden to give special benefits to any VIP, if any person breaks the rules, he may be in any position, his challan is sure to be deducted.
In the review meeting held with ADG Campaign Sanjay Anand Lathkar, the traffic police proposed that no exemption should be given to this proposal. Now once again strictness will be seen on the traffic system in the city.
