Ranchi: Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar held a meeting with representatives of nationally and state recognized political parties in the state of Jharkhand.
The representatives of political parties present in the meeting were informed about the newly published voter list and all the points related to it.
Ravi Kumar appealed to everyone to create an environment of awareness at their level so that more and more people check their names in this new list.
He said that if any kind of complaint or suggestion comes to political parties, they should also forward them to the election office.
Representatives of almost all the political parties present in the meeting expressed satisfaction with the voter verification work and appreciated the continuous awareness programs.
All the representatives were informed that the updated voter list has also been uploaded on the website of CEO Jharkhand.
They must publicize this information at their respective levels so that the common voter can also visit the website and check any possible discrepancy himself.
All political parties were again requested to spread necessary publicity about the awareness program being run across the state regarding EVMs and VVPAT so that more and more people can benefit from this awareness campaign.
During this meeting, along with representatives of all major parties, OSD Mrs. Geeta Choubey, Under Secretary Devdas Dutta, Deputy Election Officer (Headquarters) Sanjay Kumar, Under Election Officer Sunil Kumar Singh, System Analyst S.N. Jamil were present.
