CCL Organises special programme for SC – ST & Women Entrepreneurs to promote business

Ranchi: Central Coalfields Limited, a Jharkhand based-subsidiary of Coal India Ltd, organized a day long “Special Vendor Development Programme for SC – ST and Women MSEs entrepreneurs, which is aimed at promoting their business at CCL Headquarters, Ranchi.

More than 50 entrepreneurs participated in this programme.

This programme was aimed to motivate entrepreneurs of reserved communities to register their firms at the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) Portal.

This portal is the Public Procurement Portal for procurement of goods and services for all Central Government and State Government Ministries, Departments, Public Sector Units (PSUs) from GeM portal.

CCL procures many products from GeM portal as well as services from GeM portal.

Ayush Aggarwal, Director-Ministries and CPSEs, GeM said that there is a huge opportunity provided by the Central Government to promote business among SC-ST & Women Entrepreneurs in Jharkhand.

He extended gratitude to CCL for organising a special vendor programme for the reserved categories.

Indrajit Yadav, Joint Director-MSME -DFO too appreciated the efforts of the company for organising such interactive sessions with local SC-ST & Women Entrepreneurs, who wish to increase their business with CPSUs.

Kiran Maria Tiru, Sr. Branch Manager NSSHO- Ranchi urged the local SC-ST & Women Entrepreneurs to seek help from CCL and register themselves in GeM Portal for marketing their products.

Shyam Narayan Mahto, GM (MM), CCL delivered a welcome address and said that CCL is committed to maximise procurement from GeM Portal so that SC-ST & Women Entrepreneurs and others get benefitted.

Discussions were held on various schemes of the government for increasing participation of MSM’s in tenders such as Make in India, Public Procurement Policies.
