Cabinet decisions: Winter session to begin from December 16, bonus of Rs 117 to farmers on paddy purchase

Ranchi: The state Cabinet meeting was held in Project building on Thursday which was presided over by CM Hemant Soren.

The Cabinet has given approval to 27 proposals. The proposals that have been approved are mainly related to the winter session of the Jharkhand Assembly.

The winter session of the Assembly will run from 15 to 21 December. Plus 2 non-plan schools of the state have been converted into plan items. The amount of copies being provided in classes 9 to 12 in government schools under Jharkhand state has been increased. Earlier, the price fixed at Rs 20 for a copy of 80 pages has now been reduced to Rs 20 for a copy of 120 pages. Now Rs 30 per copy will be given for this.

An 8.87 kilometer road will be built in Bhognadih-Malbhita Lakhipur of Sahibganj district. Funds were released for this. Farmers of the state will be given Rs 117 per quintal as bonus on the purchase of paddy from the minimum support price. Apart from this, the rate of Chief Minister Special Scholarship Scheme has been revised. Rs 25 crore was released to 1 lakh 32 thousand 881 students of general category.

Students from class 1 to 5 will get Rs 1500 per year. Students from class 6 to 8 will get Rs 2500 per year as scholarship. Approval of the proposal to operate Solid Waste Management Scheme in PPP mode under Ramgarh Cluster. Rs 635 crore 67 lakh 52 thousand will be spent on this.

In addition to the minimum support price determined by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Department of Food and Public Distribution, Government of India, for the procurement of paddy at minimum support price from farmers in the Kharif marketing season 2023-24, the state government will provide Rs 117.00 (a The amount of bonus at the rate of Rs 100 and seventeen) per quintal was approved and for this a total amount of Rs 70,20,00,000 (Rs seventy crore twenty lakh only) was approved.

Jharkhand State for procurement of paddy at minimum support price from farmers.
